St. Matthew Baptist Church
The church that resides in the midst of the city of Chicago, it demonstrates positive vibes and love. When you come inside you can feel the warmth and presence of the Holy Spirit. It is a church where love is displayed, and everyone is treated like family. Love is shown and Love is given.
The Church’s mission is to Evangelize: Tell Someone about Christ, Exhort: Encourage through Christ and Edify: Build up in Christ. To compel the lost to try Jesus Christ that they may come to know Him as their Lord and Savior, to teach and train the saints to become disciples; to encourage the saints to engage in worshipping of God and fellowship with one another to all the Kingdom Of God. The Church’s mission is designed to embrace the elements of the Kingdom of God on earth. Seeing that it is God’s will that a great number of us remain here on earth after receiving salvation. We as followers of Christ must prepare for heaven here on Earth. Not only are we responsible for assisting in the population of God’s Kingdom on earth, but also training saints in this life how to get along with each other.
